Tote Storage Rack

We recently moved and our new house has way less storage than our old house did. I'm going to build a new storage system in the garage to help me tackle all that stuff. And to make this as simple as possible, all you really need is a drill and a saw.

Materials

30 - 2x4x8’ (or 2x3)

~240 - Screws 2.5” long: https://amzn.to/3Dfvlb4

24 - 27 gallon totes: https://amzn.to/3Dg5qjo

Tools

Hand Saw: https://amzn.to/3pTu32f

Drill driver

Tape measure: https://amzn.to/3PX8Mj5

Optional

Miter saw: https://amzn.to/46QI01S

Pocket hole jig: https://amzn.to/3JYw9F1

Pocket hole screws: https://amzn.to/3Dg5Bey

Now the concept for this is relatively simple. We want to build a couple of ladder portions and we're going to have the totes go in between those with the lip hanging on the rungs of the ladders. Then to keep everything upright and have the spacing correct for the totes, we have some headers and footers that we're going to screw those to.

Instead of a right up, check out the free build plans if you want to make this rack for yourself.
